My expertise stems from long term studies on the biomedical aspects of biochemistry and molecular cell biology, with focus on the mechanisms associated with degenerative disorders, ageing and tissue regeneration. In this area I combine a track record through building relationships with external stakeholders nationally and abroad. As an independent investigator, I have acquired specialist research skills together with creative approach and extensive knowledge of the current literature, to deliver high quality, timely and profitable research outputs. This experience provided a genuine basis for development of long term plans for the future that would fit in a highly productive involvement in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and regenerative medicine industry sector. In the past several years my work was supported by sustained national and European funding, both as a principal grant holder from the Medical Research Council and through intellectual and practical contribution into collaborative proposals. As a member of the North East England Stem Cell Institute, I developed working relationships with clinical colleagues and industrial partners. I have also acquired a number of training, consultancy and management skills and was involved in a collaborative work with spin out companies and provision of services to the commercial sector. Presently I am searching for suitable position where I can bring my commitment and creativity as a professional step forward.
